Preschool Teachers’ Views Related to Family Communication Activities According to Seniority Conditions

Abstract
The current study was carried out to determine the views of preschool teachers with regard to the application of family communication activities. In the study, survey method was used. A total sum of 893 students participated in the study. “The Questionnaire of Family Communication Activities” was applied to the teachers by the researcher. Theitems of the questionnaire were formed after reviewing the related literature. Seven instructors at working at different universities were applied for their expert ideas with regard to the items in the questionnaire and the items were rearranged. Following that, a pilot study was carried out with 120 teachers and the questionnaire was finally formed. The data obtained were analyzed in the package program of SPSS 20.00 through chi square (X2) method. As a result of the study, it was seen that there was significant relationship between teacher’s seniority conditions and family communication, arrival and departure times, newsletters, phone calls, notice boards, portfolio, correspondence, photographs, school visits, audio and video recordings, brochures, booklets and activitie sample.
Özet
Araştırma, okul öncesi kurumda görev yapan öğretmenlerin kıdem yıllarına göre aile iletişim etkinlikleri uygulamalarına ilişkin görüşlerini tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya toplam 893 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırmada betimleme (survey) yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Öğretmenlere araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan “Aile İletişim Etkinlikleri Anket”i uygulanmıştır. Anket maddeleri ilgili literatür tarandıktan sonra oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan anket maddeleri için farklı üniversitelerde görev yapan yedi öğretim üyesinden uzman görüşü alınmış ve anket maddeleri yeniden düzenlenmiştir. Daha sonra 120 öğretmenle pilot çalışma yapılmış ve ankete son şekli verilmiştir. Veriler, SPSS 20.00 programında Ki kare (χ2) yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; öğretmenlerin mesleki kıdemlerine göre aile iletişim etkinliklerinden geliş-gidiş saatleri, haber mektubu, telefon görüşmeleri, duyuru panoları, portfolyo, yazışmalar, fotoğraflar, broşürler, okul ziyaretleri, kayıt cihazları ve kitapçık-etkinlik örneği değişkenleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur.
