Symptoms and Diagnosies of Patients Referring to A Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic in Batman

Batman'da Çocuk Psikiyatrisi Polikliniğine Başvuran Hastalarda Belirti ve Tany Dağılymları

Abstract

Objectives: The evaluation of demographical features,symptoms, diagnosis and diagnostic distributions ofpatients who presented to the child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinic is gaining importance to determine appropriate health services. Researches about thistopic are mostly performed in big cities because of thesmall number of child and adolescent psychiatrist inother regions. In order to include data of differentregions to determine the appropriate health services,patients who presented to the child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinic in Batman between 2010 and2011 were analyzed in this study. Method: Retrospectivechart reviews of the 2489 patients presenting in theChild and Adolescent Psychiatry Department of BatmanGynecology and Child Hospital are evaluated. Results:Most of the cases were boys and in the age group of 06. Most frequent complaint is nervousness (11.7%) andmost frequent diagnosis is attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (16.6%). Distributions of diagnosis variedaccording to complaint and age components of thepatients. The percentage of the patients having currentsuicidal ideation and/or previous suicidal attempt was1.9%. Conclusion: As a result, despite the fact that ourstudy had some common findings with the previousstudies, there are some discrepancies in terms of agegroups and the distribution of diagnosis. These discrepancies may be associated with the geographical facts.Therefore, it is suggested that while the services of childpsychiatry clinics are arranged, the features of the geographic regions are to be concerned.

Amaç: Çocuk ve ergen psikiyatrisi polikliniklerinde hastalaryn demografik özellikleri, belirti, tany ve tany da?ylymlarynyn incelenmesi uygun sa?lyk hizmetlerinin belirlenmesi açysyndan önem kazanmaktadyr. Bu çaly?malar çocukpsikiyatristi sayysynyn azly?y nedeniyle kysytly sayyda ?ehirdegerçekle?tirilmi?tir. Uygun sa?lyk hizmetlerinin belirlenmesinde, farkly yörelere ait verilerin dahil edilebilmesiamacyyla, 2010- 2011 yyllary arasynda Batman KadynDo?um ve Çocuk Hastalyklary Hastanesi Çocuk ve ErgenPsikiyatrisi Poliklini?i'ne ba?vuran hastalar incelenmi?tir.Yöntem: ?ubat 2010-A?ustos 2011 tarihleri arasyndaki1.5 yyllyk süre içinde Batman Kadyn Do?um ve ÇocukHastalyklary Hastanesinde görülen toplam 2489 hastanyndosyasy incelenmi?tir. Bulgular: Olgularyn ço?unlu?u 0-6ya? grubundandyr ve ço?u erkektir. En syk yakynmasinirlilik (%11.7), en syk konulan tany ise dikkat eksikli?ive hiperaktivite bozuklu?udur (%16.6). Hastalaryn ?ikayetve ya? özelliklerine göre de tany da?ylymlary de?i?mektedir. Ayryca çaly?mamyzda özkyyym dü?üncesi de incelenmi?tir. Buna göre, ba?vuranlaryn %1.9'u daha önceözkyyym giri?iminde bulunmu? veya bu ba?vurularyndaözkyyym dü?üncesi olanlardyr. Sonuç: Sonuç olarak çaly?mamyz, önceki yapylan çaly?malarla benzerlik gösterse depoliklini?imizde de?erlendirilen olgularyn ya?lara göreda?ylymlary, ruhsal bozukluklaryn oranlary gibi farklylyklargöstermektedir. Bu farklylyklaryn yörenin co?rafi ve sosyokültürel özelliklerinden kaynaklanyyor olabilece?idü?ünülmü?tür. Bu nedenle de çocuk psikiyatrisi poliklinik hizmetleri düzenlenirken bu gibi farklylyklaryn da gözönünde bulundurulmasy önerilmektedir.
