Abstract

In this article, socialist feminism is evaluated historically in the context of patriarchalcapitalism. Socialist feminism, which is differentiated from the other movements withits historical analysis, is explained the position of woman from the perspectıve ofcapitalism critique of Marxist theory and the view of radical feminism to patriarchy.Socialist feminists that handle the both theories in a unified and interconnectedcontext, they see the root of patriarchy as the control of men over the labour of womenwith the rise of capitalism. Therefore, the theory explained the second position ofwoman as class basis. Women do not only contribute the production of (with herlabour force and her reproductive feature that breeds new labour force) capitalismbut also contribute the reproduction (buying commodity for her family member withher femininity role) of it. Explanation of the second position of woman in his processreveals the importance of the article from feminist perspective.
