PERSPECTIVES OF THE ACCOUNTING STUDENTS ON FLIPPED CLASSROOM MODEL: BAYBURT UNIVERSITY AND KAFKAS UNIVERSITY CASES

Abstract
This study aims to determine the perspectives of the students regarding whether the flipped classroom model can be used in accounting education. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to students who study at Bayburt University and Kafkas University, Department of Business Administration and Economics undergraduate programs and have taken at least one of the accounting courses. Survey data were analyzed with the help of SPSS program. As a result, it has been found out that both university students have tools such as computer, smart phone and internet which are important for the application of the flipped classroom model. It has also been found that the views on the application of this model in accounting education are very positive and that they generally increase the success of the courses.
Özet
Bu çalışma, ters yüz edilmiş sınıf modelinin muhasebe eğitiminde kullanılıp kullanılmayacağına yönelik, öğrencilerin bakış açılarının belirlenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla, Bayburt Üniversitesi ve Kafkas Üniversitesi İşletme ve İktisat Bölümü lisans programlarında öğrenim gören ve muhasebe derslerinden en az birini almış olan öğrencilere anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Anket verileri SPSS programı yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, her iki üniversite öğrencilerinin ters yüz edilmiş sınıf modelinin uygulanması açısından önemli olan bilgisayar, akıllı telefon ve internet gibi araçlara sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca muhasebe eğitiminde bu modelin uygulanmasına yönelik bakış açılarının oldukça olumlu olduğu ve öğrencilerin derslerdeki başarılarını genel olarak artıracağını düşündükleri tespit edilmiştir.
