A Rare Case: Granular Cell Tumor of the Tongue

Abstract
Granular cell tumors (GCT) are rare neoplasms and their diagnosis is mainly based on histopathologic examination of biopsies. GCT is a neoplasm that has been reported in a variety of organs, including the extremities, head and neck skin, oral cavity and gastrointestinal tract. The cell of origin in GCT is controversial. In this article, we present a case of granular cell tumor of the tongue at the 49-year-old female patient with the knowledge of the literature.
Özet
Granüler hücreli tümörler (GHT) nadir görülen neoplazilerdir ve tanısı esas olarak biyopsilerin histopatolojik incelenmesine dayanır. Granüler hücreli tümör, ekstremiteler, baş-boyun derisi, ağız boşluğu ve gastrointestinal sistem de dahil olmak üzere çeşitli organlarda bildirilen bir neoplazidir. GHT’nin köken aldığı hücre tartışmalıdır. Bu makalede 49 yaşında bir kadın hastada granüler hücreli tümörü literatür bilgileri eşliğinde sunuyoruz.
