MODERN PEYGAMBER TASAVVURU: REŞİD RIZA (1865-1935 ÖRNEĞİ)

Özet

Hz. Peygamber’in söz ve fiillerinin anlaşılması ve yorumlanması meselesi Hadis ilminin çağdaş meselelerinin en başta gelenlerinden birisidir. Bu mesele, her dönemde önemli olmakla beraber özellikle bir zihniyet dönüşümünün yaşandığı modern zamanlarda daha da ehemmiyetli hale gelmiştir. Ancak sözün sahibinin söze mukaddem olması, söz sahibinin nasıl tasavvur edildiğini öncelikle önemli kılmaktadır. Bu araştırma, modern Batı düşüncesi ve değerleri ile İslam’ı uyumlu hale getirmeye çalışan Çağdaş İslam düşünürlerinden Reşid Rıza özelinde ve onun tefekkür dünyası üzerinden “modern peygamber tasavvuru”nu tasvir ve tahlil etmektedir. Temel iddiası, konunun bir rivâyet meselesi olmaktan önce/öte bir zihniyet meselesi olduğu, şeklindedir. Bu nedenle öncelikle zihniyetin yapıtaşları konumundaki temel kavramlar üzerinden bir zihniyet tanımlaması ortaya konulmakta, sonra da bu zihniyetin peygamber tasavvurunu nasıl şekillendirdiğini ele alınmaktadır.

Abstract

The matter of understanding and interpreting the sayings and actions of Prophet Mohammad is one of the most outstanding contemporary issues of Hadith Science. This matter is always important, however, it is much more important in modern period which includes a kind of transformation of mind-set. Being privileged of word owner to word makes how the word owner described important. This research describes and analyse “modern conception of prophecy” upon the mentality of Rashid Rida who endeavours to establish coherence between modern Western thought and Islam. Its main idea is that the matter on this issue is at first pertaining to the mind-set than narration. Therefore, it firstly puts forward a definition of mind-set upon the basic concept, which are core elements of it, and then deals with how this mind-set shapes the the concept of prophecy.
