Ergenlerde e-Sağlık Okuryazarlığı ve Sağlıklı Yaşam Biçimi Davranışları: Balıkesir Örneği

Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışma, ergenlerin e-sağlık okuryazarlığı ve sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışları düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı nitelikteki bu çalışmanın evrenini 2016-2017 yılında Balıkesir ilinde öğrenim gören 17722 ortaöğretim öğrencisi oluşturmuş, araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 553 öğrenciye ulaşılmıştır. Veriler Kişisel Bilgi Formu, e-Sağlık Okuryazarlığı Ölçeği ve Sağlıklı Yaşam Biçimi Davranışları Ölçeği aracılığıyla elde edilmiştir. Bulguların değerlendirilmesinde yüzdelik, t testi ve varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırma kapsamına alınan öğrencilerin %55,5’i 16 yaş ve üstü grubunda olup, %53,5’i erkek öğrencidir. Öğrencilerin %40,1’i günde 3 saatten fazla internet kullandığını, %57,3’ü interneti sohbet ve sosyal iletişim amacıyla kullandığını, %39,4 ve %7,1 olmak üzere toplamda %46,5’i internet sağlık kaynaklarına erişimin önemli/çok önemli bulduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Öğrencilerin e-sağlık okuryazarlığı puan ortalaması 25,98±0,27, sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışları puan ortalamaları ise 127,26±0,93’tür. Son bir haftada internette sağlık kaynaklarına erişimi, sağlığı hakkında karar vermede internetin yararlılığı ile internet sağlık kaynaklarına erişimin önemine ilişkin düşüncelerine göre, sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışları ve e-sağlık okuryazarlığı puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde farklılık göstermektedir. E-sağlık okuryazarlığı ve sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışları beceri puan ortalamalarının son bir haftada internette sağlık kaynaklarına erişen, sağlığı hakkında karar vermede internetin yararlı/ çok yararlı olduğunu ve internet sağlık kaynaklarına erişimin önemli/çok önemli olduğunu düşünen ergenlerde yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Çalışma sonunda ergenlerde e-sağlık okuryazarlığı ve sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışları puan ortalamalarının orta düzeyin biraz üzerinde olduğu, ancak yüksek düzeyde olmadığı saptanmıştır.
Abstract
Objective: This study was conducted to determine the levels of e-health literacy and healthy lifestyle behaviors of adolescents. Method: The study population of this descriptive study consisted of 17722 high school students who were educated in Balıkesir province in 2016-2017 and 553 students who accepted to participate in the research were reached. Data were collected through Personal Information Form, e-Health Literacy Scale and Healthy Life Style Behavior Scale. Percentile, t-test and variance analysis were used in the analysis of the data. Results: More than half (55.5%) of the students included in the survey were in the group of 16 years old and over, and 53.5% of them were male students. While 40.1% of the students indicated that they were using internet more than 3 hours a day, and 57.3% of them stated that they were using internet with the intention to chat, and for social communication The 46.5% of the respondents (39.4, and 7.1%, respectively) said that access to health resources on internet was important/very important. The e-health literacy mean score of the students was 25.98±0.27 and the mean score of healthy lifestyle behaviors was 127.26±0.93. According to the opinions of the respondents concerning access to health resources on the internet within the last week, the usefulness of internet on deciding about their health state, importance of accessing health resources on the internet, a statistically significant difference was detected between healthy lifestyle behaviors and e-health literacy scores. It has been found that average skill scores of e-health literacy and healthy lifestyle behaviors were higher in the adolescents who gained access into health resources on the internet within the previous week, and thought that internet was helpful/ very helpful in deciding about health issues, and accessing health resources on the internet was important/very important. Conclusion: At the end of the study, it was determined that mean scores for e-health literacy and healthy lifestyle behaviors were slightly higher than middle level but not at high level in adolescents.
