Abstract
One of the most risky groups in the context of social exclusion, which is one of the important fields of social policy, is young people. The social exclusion process pushes young people to poverty, causing problems in accessing public services, and thus disrupting social relations and cultural integration. In this context, the aim of the research is to determine the dimensions of social exclusion among young people. For this purpose, “Social Exclusion Scale” was applied to 409 young people between the ages of 18-29 and 464 people aged 30 and over in order to make comparisons by means of interview method. According to the results of the research, young people are more exposed to social exclusion than the age group of 30 and older. In addition, when young people are evaluated among themselves, it is concluded that young people with low level of education, not in Education, employment, or training and income below 2000 TL experience more social exclusion.
