Women’s Labour and Movement in the Formation and Development of Capital Accumulation Regimes

Sermaye Birikim Rejimlerinin Oluşum ve Gelişim Sürecinde Kadın Emeği ve Hareketi

Abstract

It is possible to classify capital accumulation regimes under three main paradig-ms: The postwar Fordist paradigm, the Neoliberal paradigm and the Post-Neo-liberal paradigm. It is essential to examine the main actors involved in the cons-truction processes of these paradigms in order to understand each paradigm and to evaluate the transition between these paradigms. In this respect, the main aim of this study is to question the place of ‘women’ in the formation and development of these paradigms, assuming that women are among the principal actors of such processes. The study will discuss how different paradigms are influenced by women’s movement and how they affected these movements in return. The study will also scrutinize how women’s labor was seen and used in these paradigms. In other words, this study will try to unearth the interrelation of different capital accumulation regimes with women’s labor and movement.

Özet

Sermaye birikim rejimlerini, üç temel paradigma altında sınıflandırmak mümkündür: Fordist paradigma, Neoliberal paradigma ve Post-Neoliberal paradigma. Bu paradigmaların inşa süreçlerinde yer alan temel aktörleri incelemek, hem her bir paradigmayı kavramak, hem de paradigmalar arası geçişi değerlendirebilmek açısından önemlidir. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın temel amacı, bu süreçlerin temel aktörlerden biri olduğu varsayımından hareketle, söz konusu paradigmaların oluşum ve gelişim süreçlerinde ‘kadın’ın yerini sorgulamaktır. Çalışmada, farklı paradigma dönemlerinin kadın hareketlerinden nasıl etkilendiği ve kadın hareketini nasıl etkilediği ile sözü edilen dönemlerde kadın emeğinin nasıl görüldüğü ve kullanıldığı tartışılacaktır. Bir başka ifadeyle çalışmada farklı sermaye birikim rejimleri ile kadın emeği ve kadın hareketi arasındaki karşılıklı ilişki açığa çıkarılmaya çalışılacaktır.
