Computation of the actual coordinates and velocities of Turkish national fundamental GPS network

Abstract

The deformation and the seismicity emanated from the tectonic movements throughout Turkey and her vicinity causes time dependent variations on the coordinates of the points. The coordinates of the TNFGN-99A (Turkish National Fundamental GPS Network 1999-A) which was established between 1997 and 1999 and updated between 2000 and 2001 is also subject to those changes. It is possible to update the coordinates of TNFGN-99A (Turkish National Fundamental GPS Network 1999-A) only by determining the time dependent variations of the coordinates. In this study, studies devoted to procession of GPS campaigns between 1992 and 2009, adjustment of campaigns together, handling of seismic variations, velocity estimations, determination of Turkish National Reference Frame (TNRF) are compiled and the results are discussed by comparing with the former results.

Özet

Türkiye ve çevresinde tektonik hareketler nedeniyle oluşan deformasyon ve depremsellik nokta koordinatlarında zamana bağlı değişimler meydana getirmektedir. 1997-1999 yılları arasında yapılan çalışmalarla kurulan, 2000-2001 yıllarında yapılan çalışmalarla güncelleştirilen TUTGA-99A (Türkiye Ulusal Temel GPS Ağı 1999-A) söz konusu değişimlerden etkilenmektedir. Bu nedenle, TUTGA koordinatlarının güncellenmesi zamana bağlı değişimlerinin belirlenmesi ile olanaklıdır. Bu çalışmada 1992-2009 yılları arası GPS kampanyalarının değerlendirilmesi, kampanya gözlemlerinin birlikte dengelenmesi, depremler nedeniyle oluşan yer değiştirmelerin ele alınması, hız kestirimleri, Türkiye Ulusal Referans Çerçevesinin (TUREF) tanımlanmasına yönelik çalışmalar derlenmiş, elde edilen sonuçlar önceki çözümlerle karşılaştırılmıştır.
