Abstract
Interval election made in 1979 has a very important place in Turkish political history.In the election for the five vacant seats in Turkish Grand Asssembly, five Justice Party won. Afterthe election, the current Ecevit Government resigned from his post. Instead, the Justice Partyminority government was established. This was the military coup of September 12, 1980 duringthe government period. In 1979, Selahattin Acar, a member of parliamentary candidate from theJustice Party, caught attention with his extraordinary propaganda technique. Acar himself is aprimary school graduate. In the pre-elections held within the party, many of his rivalry, whichwere supported by university graduates and party leaders, were eliminated.thanks to him, Inthe main elections, Aydin province won the highest vote in the history of the Justice Party. Forthis reason, it would be useful to examine Selahattin Acar’s propaganda techniques.
