Abstract
It’s considered as a vital requirement understanding the local resident’s attitudes and perceptions towards tourism development in order to carry out a planned tourism development and receive local resident’s supoort in an area. In this context, determining local resident’s attitudes and perceptions towards tourism development in Black Sea Eregli district is the aim of this study. Questionnaire technique was used for data collection. Results showed that local residents’ attitudes and perceptions towards tourism development in Eregli is positive and they support the tourism development in the district
Özet
Bir bölgede turizmin gelişiminin planlı bir şekilde gerçekleştirilmesi ve yerel halkın desteğinin sağlanması için, yerel halkın turizmin gelişimine yönelik tutum ve algılarının anlaşılması önemli bir gereklilik olarak görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda, Karadeniz Ereğli ilçesinde yaşayan yerel halkın ilçede turizmin gelişimine yönelik tutum ve algılarının belirlenmesi, bu araştırmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, veri toplama aracı olarak anket tekniği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analiz sonuçlarına göre, Ereğli’de yerel halkın turizmin gelişimine yönelik tutum ve algılarının olumlu olduğu ve turizmin gelişimini destekledikleri ifade edilebilir.
