Investigation of Guitar Educators' Changes in Their Professional Processes in Guitar Teaching

Gitar Eğiticilerinin Mesleki Süreçlerinde Gitar Ögretimi Konusunda Yaşadıkları Değişimlerin İncelenmesi

Abstract

The aim of this research is to resolve the evolutionary and traditional methods and techniques in guitar teachingin accordance with the professional experiences of guitar educators. In line with this purpose, it is to be determined exactly what are guitar educators' thoughts and approaches in terms of teaching of guitar techniques, utilization of educational materials, technical studies, musicality and working methods of musical pieces and working conditions in the beginning and final years of their professional life. In the research, the phenomenological design was chosen as one of the qualitative research methods in accordance with the purpose of the study. The model of the study involves 12 educators in the field of guitar teaching. The data were collected by a structured interview form containing 16 questions.Content analysis was used in the study. As a result of content analysis, five categories of guitar techniques, material usage, technical study, work methods and working conditions were formed. When the data obtained from the educators are interpreted in general, it could be said that more individual differences have been taken into consideration in the final years, and for this reason, it is given an approach based on the cognitive affective and psychomotor skills of the students, and the importance of the development of students' knowledge and culture levels and the formation of musical identities are given significance. Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı, gitar eğitimcilerin mesleki deneyimleri doğrultusunda gitar öğetimindeki değişen ve değişmeyen yöntem ve teknikleri tespit etmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda gitar eğitimcilerinin, mesleki yaşantılarını ilk ve son yıllar olarak iki dönemde, gitar tekniklerinin öğretimi, eğitim materyallerinin kullanımı, teknik çalışmalar, müzikalite ve eser çalışma yöntemlerive çalışma koşulları açısından düşünce ve yaklaşımlarının neler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada, çalışmanın amacına uygun olarak nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenoloji deseni tercih edilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini gitar alanında 12 eğitimci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veriler, araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulmuş 16 soruluk yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmada içerik analizinden yararlanılmıştır. İçerik analizi sonucunda araştırmada gitar teknikleri, materyal kullanımı, teknik çalışma, eser çalışma yöntemleri ve çalışma koşulları olmak üzere beş kategori oluşturulmuştur. Eğitimcilerden elde edilen veriler genel olarak yorumlandığında son yıllarda daha fazla bireysel farklılıkların göz önüne alındığı ve bunun için öğrencilerin bilişsel duyuşsal ve psikomotor becerilerini esas alan bir yaklaşım içerisinde olunduğu, ayrıca öğrencilerin bilgi ve kültür düzeylerinin geliştirilmesi ile müzikal kimliklerinin oluşturulması konusuna önem verildiği söylenebilir. Araştırmanın sonucunda araştırmacılara, eğitimcilere, gitaristlere ve öğrencilere birtakım önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
