The Notion of Allah in İmām Rabbānī

Abstract

As is known, the subject of Allah’s attributes is an important subject that has been subject to long discussions in the history of Islamic thought. Since the Islamic philosophers and theologians, especially the ones they accepted and developed, wanted to rely on sound foundations, they took great care in shaping the subject around the attributes of Allah and his. İmām Rabbānī, with the presence and unity of Allah, has revealed his original views and ideas that will be both positive and inspirational to people in his own works at the point of proof and explanation of his sublime and sublime attributes. The explanations and determinations of İmām Rabbānī, a good Sufism and theologian, in particular concerning the names and attributes of Allah and his names coincide with the theological discourses developed by the knowledge of Māturīdī. In this respect, it is worth noting that Māturīdi’s approach to Allah is the subject of belief in the beliefs, opinions and thoughts of thought.

Bilindiği üzere Allah’ın zatı ve sıfatları konusu, İslâm düşünce tarihinde uzun tartışmalara konu olmuş önemli bir husustur. İslâm filozofları ile kelâmcılar, özellikle de kabul ettikleri ve geliştirdikleri teolojilerinin sağlam temellere dayanmasını istediklerinden, ilk ele aldıkları ve inceledikleri konunun Allah ve O’nun sıfatları etrafında şekillenmesine büyük bir özen göstermişlerdir. İmâm Rabbânî, Allah’ın varlığı ve birliği ile O’nun yüce ve kemal sıfatlarının ispat ve izahı noktasında kendi eserlerinde hem çok olumlu hem de insanlara esin kaynağı olacak özgün görüş ve düşünceler ortaya koymuştur. İyi bir mutasavvıf ve kelâmcı olan İmâm Rabbânî’nin, özellikle Allah ve O’nun isim ve sıfatları konusundaki açıklama ve tespitleri, Mâtürîdî kelâmcıların geliştirdiği teolojik söylemlerle birebir örtüşmektedir. Bu bakımdan onun Allah konusuna yaklaşımının ortaya konması, Mâtürîdî düşünceye ait inanç, görüş ve düşüncelerin tekrardan hatırlanması adına kayda değer bir husustur.
