Abstract
A twentysevenyearold woman presented with complaints of tonicclonic seizures. Leftsided atrophy was found in her upper and lower limbs. Magnetic resonance imaging of the brain showed hemiatrophy in the right cerebral hemisphere. A diagnosis of Dyke-Davidoff-Masson syndrome was thought. Sodium valproate was initiated for epileptic seizures, after which her symptoms improved. No recurrences of seizures were seen during a followup period of 1.5 years.
Özet
Yirmi yedi yaşında kadın hasta, geçirdiği jeneralize tonikklonik nöbetten sonra kliniğimize başvurdu. Sol üst ve alt ekstremitelerinde atrofi vardı. Kraniyal manyetik rezonans görüntülemede sağ serebral hemisfer hemiatrofisi gözlendi; hastada Dyke-Davidoff-Masson sendromu düşünüldü. Epileptik nöbetleri için sodyum valproat tedavisi başlanan hastanın nöbetleri kontrol altına alındı; 1.5 yıllık izlem süresince nöbet tekrarına rastlanmadı.
