Governmental structure of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Abstract

This article will attempt to examine the governmental structure of the Islamic Republic of Iran in a historical process. The 1979 revolution is considered one of the important turning points in the history of Iran. The article firstly investigates the factors that lay the ground for the occurrence of the revolution. Understanding this period will considerably help us to interpret the post-revolution period. Then, the governmental structure will be explored in order to identify radical changes that have been undergone since the revolution.

Bu makalede İran islam Cumhuriyetinin tarihsel süreç içerisindeki devlet yapısı incelenmiştir. 1979 Devrimi, İran tarihinde önemli kırılma noktalarından biri sayılmaktadır. Makalede ilk önce 1979 devrimine zemin hazırlayan faktörler üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu dönemi anlamak, islam Cumhuriyeti dönemini anlamak için önemli bir malzeme teşkil etmektedir. Daha sonra devlet yapısı araştırılarak bu alanda devrimden sonra meydana gelen köklü değişimler tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.
