Anti-reflux therapy in asthmatic children

Abstract
Gastroesophageal reflux disease and asthma are the two diseases which are in a close relationship with each other. Occurance of one of these diseases causes a risk factor for the another. Anti-reflux treatment in asthmatic patients is a focus of interest for a long time. In this report, the impact of anti-reflux treatment on the prognosis of asthma particularly in uncontrolled asthma, nocturnal asthma and asthmatic children with obesity is evaluated.
Özet
Gastroözefageal reflü hastalığı ile astım birbiriyle yakından ilişkili iki hastalıktır. Bir hastalığın bulunması diğeri için de risk faktörü oluşturmaktadır. Astım hastalarında antireflü tedavisinin yeri uzun zamandır ilgi odağı olan bir konudur. Bu derlemede özellikle kontrolü zor astım, noktürnal astım ve astımı olan obez çocuklarda antireflü tedavisinin astım prognozu üzerine etkisi değerlendirilmiştir.
