Abstract
Cytomegalovirus is a double-stranded DNA virus in the herpesviridae family and a wide spread pathogen in general population. It causes both anterior and posterior uveitis in immunocompetent and immunocompromised individuals. While anterior uveitis is characterized with high intraocular pressure and iris atrophy; retinitis and rarely acute retinal necrosis are the clinical presentation in posterior uveitis.
Özet
Sitomegalovirüs (CMV) çift sarmallı bir DNA virüsüdür ve genel popülasyonda yaygın bir patojendir. İmmünkompotent ve immünkompramize bireylerde hem ön, hem de arka segmenti tutan üveit tablosuna neden olabilmektedir. Ön üveit artmış göz içi basıncı (GİB) ve iris atrofisi ile karakterize iken; arka segment tutulumunda en sık retinit ve nadiren akut retinal nekroz görülür.
