Özet
Türkiye'de toplum çevirmenliğini düzenleyen yasal çerçeveyi betimleyen bu makalede mahkeme, hastane ve mülteci mülakatları gibi farklı ortamlarda gerçekleştirilen çeviri hizmetlerinin nasıl sağlandığı konusu da ele alınmaktadır. Yapılan araştırmada toplum çevirmenliğinin bir dizi yasa tarafından düzenlendiği, ancak toplum çevirmenlerinin uygulamada gerekli mesleki deneyim ve eğitim altyapısına sahip olmadıkları ortaya konmuştur. Makale sonuç olarak çevirmenlerin eğitimi ve sertifikalandın İmaları için kurumsal bir yapı oluşturulmasını önermektedir.
Abstract
The paper offers a description of the legal framework regulating community interpreting in Turkey and also explores the provision of interpreting services rendered in various settings such as courts, hospitals and asylum interviews. The study reveals that there are a number of laws regulating community interpreting, however practicing community interpreters lack the necessary professional experience and educational background. The paper proposes the establishment of an institutional framework for the training and accreditation of community interpreters.
