Abstract

Hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) is a rare disorder characterized by eosinophilia ≥ 1500/mm3 at complete blood count (CBC) for more than six months, exclusion of other hypereosinophilic etiologies like parasitic infections, allergic conditions and the presence of signs and sypyoms of major organ involvement. Here we present a patient with HES with the involvement of skin and lung and, unexpectedly, involvement of heart while on steroid theraphy.

Özet

Hipereozinofilik sendrom; altı aydan uzun süren 1500/mm3’ün üzerinde eozinofili, eozinofiliye neden olabilecek paraziter, allerjik ve diğer patolojilerin dışlanması, organ tutulumu ile uyumlu semptom ve bulguların olmasıyla tanı konulan nadir görülen bir klinik tablodur. Burada akciğer, cilt ve kalp tutulumu olan bir olgu sunulacaktır. Olgunun özellikle steroid tedavisi almasına rağmen takibinde kalp tutulumunun ortaya çıkması dikkat çekicidir.
