Abstract
Abstract: Tourism is one of the important sectors that contributes to the economic, social and cultural development of a district. Since 1994, tourism has been the main source of income for local people of Kızılcahamam. However, the actors concerned have important responsibilities in order to make local development and prosperity satisfied and sustainable. Therefore, the opinions of Local on-Governmental Organizations about the sustainability of local development and identification of problems within the context of tourism in Kızılcahamam are essential. This study, where qualitative investigation technique is used, has been done by making use of interviews and corresponding literature studies. The study has attempted to explore the opinions of local GOS about the effect of tourism on local development in Kızılcahamam through the interviews conducted with them. Finally, recommendations to increase the effect of tourism on local development in Kızılcahamam are put forward in line with the findings derived from all these studies.

Özet: Turizm bir yörenin ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel gelişimini sağlayan önemli sektörlerden biridir. Kızılcahamamda 1994 yılından bu yana turizm yerel halkın ana geçim kaynağıdır. Ancak yerel kalkınmanın ve refahın sağlanması ve sürdürülebilir kılınabilmesi için ilgili tüm aktörlere önemli görevler düşmektedir. Bu bakımdan Kızılcahamamda özellikle turizm kapsamında yerel kalkınmanın sürdürülebilirliği ve sorunların tespiti için Yerel Sivil Toplum Kuruluşlarının görüşleri önemlidir. itel araştırma tekniği kullanılan bu çalışmada, mülakatlardan ve ilgili literatür çalışmalarından yararlanılmıştır. Yerel STKlarla yapılan mülakatlar doğrultusunda Kızılcahamamda turizmin yerel kalkınmaya etkisi konusunda görüşleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Son olarak; tüm bu çalışmalardan elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda, Kızılcahamamda turizmin yerel kalkınmaya etkisinin artırılabilmesi konusunda öneriler ortaya konmuştur.
