THE TYPES OF CURATORSHIP UNDER THE SWISS CIVIL CODE

Abstract
After the new legislation in comparative law, The Swiss Civil Code wasamended fundamentally regarding the legal protection of adults, too. As the most important amendment, a unique official measure is vorseen in the Codeinstead of three types of measures (guardianship, curatorship and statutoryadvisor). The types of curatorship are classified from the lightest one to thestrongest one in the Code (SCC. Art. 393-398). The types are analysed in thisstudy. Because new legislation under the reference code is highly important forthe Turkish Civil Code, as well. At first, it is necessary to be explained thecuratorship according to the old provisions under the code. So the curatorshipand its types under the old code is anaysed firstly. After that, the new types ofthe curatorship are the subject of this study.
