Overview And Classification of Pachycoroid Spectrum Diseases

Abstract
Pachychoroid (ancient Greek pachy: thick) means thick choroid. Pachychoroid spectrum has been defined recently and the diseases of this spectrum share some common choroidal features. Characteristic features and classification of pachychoroid spectrum including uncomplicated pachychoroid, pachychoroid pigment epitheliopathy, central serous chorioretinopathy, pachychoroid neovasculopathy, polipoidal choroidal vasculopathy, peripapillary pachychoroid syndrome, and focal choroidal excavation are discussed in this review.
Özet
Pakikoroid (eski Yunanca’da paki: kalın) kalın koroid anlamına gelmektedir. Pakikoroid spektrum yeni tanımlanmıştır ve bu spektrumdaki hastalıklar bazı ortak koroid özellikleri sergilerler. Bu derlemede saf pakikoroid, pakikoroid pigment epitelyopati, santral seröz koryoretinopati, pakikoroid neovaskülopati, polipoidal koroidal vaskülopati, peripapiller pakikoroid sendrom ve fokal koroidal ekskavasyonu içeren pakikoroid spektrum hastalıklarının genel özelliklerinden ve sınıflmasından bahsedilmiştir.
