Şiir çevirisinin Bazı Sorunları Üstüne

Özet

Çeviri etkinliği genellikle bir dildeki anlamın bir başka dile aktarımı olarak kabul edilir. Ancak şiir metinlerinin çevirisinde de anlam ile birlikte biçemin çevrilmesi söz konusudur. Bir başka deyişle şiirde dil anlamın dile getirilmesinin aracı değil bu anlamın bütünleyici parçasıdır. Ancak şiir çevirisinde sadakat bu bağlamda yeterli olmayabilir. Öte yanda çevirmen ihanet eden kişi de olmamalıdır. Görülüyor ki şiir çevirisi bazı sorunları olan bir alandır. Özellikle de anlamın aktarımı güçlükler içermektedir çünkü şiirde dil anlamın kendisidir. Şiirde anlam kavramsal, öyküsel olmayı içererek imgeseldir. İmge de çok fazla şeyi oluşturur. Bütün bunların ötesinde şairin iç sesi vardır. Eğer çevirmen bu sesi duyumsamamışsa ve duyumsatamamışsa eksik çeviri yapmış demektir çünkü şiir çevirisi esinsel ve organiktir. Bu da çevirmenin yaratıcılığını gerektirir.

Abstract

Generally translation activity is considered transferring the meaning in one language into another. Yet in the translation of poetic texts, translation of meaning with style and language must also be translated. In other words, language in poetry is not a means but a complementary part of meaning. But, in this context falthfullness may not be sufficient. On the other hand, the translator should not be a traitor as well. As it is obvious poetry translation is a field that has some problems. Especially the transfer of meaning comprises difficulties. Meaning in poetry being conceptual and narrative is imaginative. Imagery comprises lots of things. Beyond all these there is the inner voice of the poet. If the translator has not heard this voice or not made this voice be heard then it means that his translation has deletions. Poetry translation is spiritual and organic so it requires the creativity of the translator.
