ALİ FUAD BAŞGİL’DE İRADE TERBİYESİ-AHLAK EĞİTİMİ

Özet

Ali Fuad Başgil'in çalışmalarında "İrade Terbiyesi" olarak ele aldığı kavramın ülkemizde eğitim sorunlarına bakış açısını nasıl değiştirebileceğine ilişkin yazılmış bu çalışmada, gençlerdeki irade terbiyesinin ya da eş deyişle ahlak eğitiminin, eğitime katkılarından bahsedilmektedir. Buna göre; eğer eğitim alanına felsefenin temel argümanları aracılığıyla yenilikler katılabilirse hem eğitimde, hem gençlerin istikbalinde hem de ülke menfaatleri konusunda olumlu değişiklikler olacaktır. Ancak gençlerde bir hastalık gibi var olan umutsuzluk ve melankoli hali, bilgiye ulaşma konusunda tembellik etme davranışı, eğitim alanında eksik bırakılan felsefi düşünüş ve yargılama eksikliği süreç içerisinde sürekli bir düşüşe neden olmaktadır. Çağdaş Türk düşüncesi üzerine çalışmalar yapan hemen herkesin hedefi ülkemizde var olan eğitim sorununu çözmek üzerinedir. Bunun için Batı medeniyetlerindeki çalışmalar ülkemize uyarlanmaya çalışılmış, tercüme faaliyetleri ile eğitim alanımız güçlendirilmiştir. Ancak kimi kesimlerde bu yeterli olmamıştır. Bunun sebebi ise Başgil'e göre en temelde var olan irade terbiyesi ya da ahlaki eğitiminin eksik kalmasından kaynaklanmaktadır. Çalışmamızda Başgil'in bu anlamdaki öğütlerine ve önerilerine yer verilmiştir

Abstract

In this study, it is written about how Ali Fuad Başgil's concept of "Education of Will" in his works can change the way of thinking about education problems in our country, the will of young people, or, in other words, education of moral, the contributions of education. According to this; if innovations can be incorporated into the field of education through the main arguments of philosophy there will be positive changes both in education, in the future of young people and in the interests of the country. However, as a disease in young people, such as hopelessness and melancholy state, laziness about access to information the lack of philosophical thought and lack of judgment in the field of education cause a continuous decrease in the process. Everyone who works on contemporary Turkish thought is aiming to solve the educational problem that exists in our country. For this, studies in Western civilizations have been tried to be adapted to my country, and our translation activities and education have been strengthened. However, in some sections this is not enough. The reason for this is that, according to Başgil, the most basic existent is the lack of educational of will or education of moral.
