Terror-Media Relationship and Terror Journalism in Media

Abstract
Supporting the campaign against terrorism without doing any propaganda of terrorist organizations and informing people is one of the main duties of media. How can media achieve it? This is the question for which this study has been prepared to search for an answer. The study focuses on the subjects of “Terror”, “Terrorism”, “Relations Between Media and Terror”, “Use of Notions Regarding Terrorism on Press”, “Positive Aspects of Giving Place to the News Regarding Terrorism on Press”, “Negative Aspects of Giving Place to the News Regarding Terrorism on Press” and “How Should News About Terror be Announced on Press” and it tries to exhibit how the news of terrorism should be announced without terrorist propaganda.
Özet
Terör örgütlerinin propagandasını yapmadan terörle mücadeleye destek vermek ve halkı bilgilendirmek medyanın ana görevleri arasındadır. Medya bunu nasıl yapacaktır? Bu çalışma işte bu soruya cevap aramak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Çalışmada “Terör”, “Terörizm”, “Terör-Medya İlişkisi”, “Medyada Terörizmle İlgili Kavramların Kullanılması”, “Basında Terör Haberlerinin Verilmesinin Olumlu Yönleri”, “Basında Terör Haberlerinin Verilmesinin Olumsuz Yönleri” ve “Basında Terör Haberleri Nasıl Verilmeli?” başlıkları çerçevesinde terör propagandası yapılmadan terör haberlerinin hangi çerçevede verilmesi gerektiği ortaya konulmuştur.
