Abstract

Bilateral brachial plexus blocks are rarely performed because of the risk of systemic local anesthetic toxicity. Ultrasound guidancehelps to visualize the cords of the brachial plexus so that the anesthetic may be deposited precisely, making it possible to performblocks with low doses of anesthetic agents. In this case report, we present a 48-year-old man who was scheduled for bilateral forearmsurgery with ultrasound-guided bilateral infraclavicular block

Özet

Bilateral brakial pleksus blokları sistemik lokal anestezik toksisitesi riski nedeniyle nadiren uygulanır. Ultrason kullanımı brakialpleksusun kordlarını görmeye yardımcı olur ve böylece anestezik ajanın dağılımı görülerek düşük doz anestezik ajan uygulamasıile blok gerçekleştirilebilir. Bu olgu sunumunda ultrason rehberliğinde bilateral infraklavikuler blok ile bilateral önkol cerrahisiplanlanan 48 yaşındaki erkek hasta sunuldu
