Özet
Müslüman toplumların sosyal ve kültürel hayatında önemli rol oynayan hayır müesseselerinin başında vakıflar gelmektedir. Toplumların inşası bağlamında vakıflar tarihin derinliklerine ışık tutmaktadır. Dinin ana kaynaklarından Kur’ân ve onun yaşayan hali Hz. Peygamber (s.a.v.), vakıf kurumunu teşvik etmiştir. “Veren el alan elden üstündür” ilkesini hayat düsturu olarak belirleyen bir medeniyete mensup olduğumuz aşikârdır. Pek çok açıdan insanî değerlerin dumura uğradığı bir dönemde “komşusu açken tok yatan bizden değildir” ilkesiyle hareket eden Müslüman toplumlar, vakıflar aracılığıyla bu hasletleri canlı tutmayı başarmıştır. Çalışmada öncelikle vakıf kavramı açıklanmaya çalışılmış, ardından tarihsel süreçte vakıf kurumu örneklerle ele alınmıştır. Ardından Bayburt özelinde Ferruhşâd Bey Vakfı ile Bayburt Müslüman Dilendirmezler Cemiyeti ve devamı niteliğinde 2013 yılında kurulan dernek ele alınarak değerlendirilmiştir. Çeşitleri, muhtevaları, faaliyet alanları açısından İslam toplumlarının vakıflara verdiği önem ve gösterdiği hassasiyet dikkat çekici örneklerle ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır.
Abstract
The endowments play a leading role in the social and cultural life of Muslim societies. In the context of building societies, the endowments shed light on the depths of history. One of the main sources of the religion, the Qur'an and Prophet (pbuh) who was the living interpretation of it encouraged trust institution. It is obvious that we belong to a civilization that dictates the principle “the giving hand that is better than the hand that receives”. In many respects, at a time when humanitarian values are being deteriorated, Muslim societies that have acted in line with the principle ‘‘He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while the neighbour to his side goes hungry.’’, have managed to keep these humanitarian values alive through endowments. In this study, firstly the concept of endowment was tried to be explained, and then the trust institution was discussed with examples in the historical process. After that, the Ferruhşad Bey Endowment, the Bayburt Muslim Language Association and a follow-up fraternity of the aforesaid association which was founded in 2013 specific to Bayburt were handled. The importance placed and sensitivity displaced on foundations in Islamic societies with regard to their types, contents and fields of activity have been tried to be demonstrated with the remarkable examples.
