Abstract

The aim of the study is to present the development and activities of pediatric surgery and Turkish Association of Pediatric Surgeons which initially started to function with orthopedics and was accepted as an independent medical branch in 1947.

Başlangıçta Ortopedi ile birlikte faaliyet gösteren 1947 yılında ayrı bir tıp dalı olarak kabul edilen çocuk cerrahisinin ve Türkiye Çocuk Cerrahisi Derneği’nin gelişimi ve faaliyetlerinin sunulması amaçlanmıştır.
