A Preliminary Report of the Flies That Reared on the Dead Land Snails in the South Marmara Region; And Notes on the Existence of Myiasis - Producing Diptera in Turkey

Abstract
Some dead land snails with dipterous larvae, pupae and emerged adult flies were collected from the South Marmara geographic region of Turkey in 1968-1969. The flies were identified as Musca domestica L., Musca larvipara Portsch., Muscina stabulans (Fall.), Lucilia sericata (Mg.), Sarcophaga sp., Coenoria sp., Ophyra sp., and a species of undetermined Sciomyzidae. Muscina larvipara Portsch., Coenoria sp., Ophyra sp. and a şpecies of Sciomyzidae were recorded for the first time in Turkey. The recorded distributicins of the myiasis- purducing diptera in Turkey were also noted.
