Blood protozoa of sheep in Adana.

Abstract
İn order to identify of sheep par~sites, blood smears had been taken from the sheep of thre units with the total of 75 sheep for 18 months regularly. The blood smears were examined for blood protoza. The number of blood sme-ars examined were 25 x 3 x 2 x 18 = 2700. In one of the units, a sheep was affected by piroplasmosis and from the blood smears examinati ons Piroplasma ovis was identified. The ticks found on the sick animal were Rhipicephalus bursa. Satisfactory result from piroplasmosis were observed after acaprin treatmemt. For tick control Asuntol gave good result.

Koyunlardaki Kan Parazitleıini tesbit maksadıyle 18 ay devam eden ve her ay muntaza.man 3 üniteden alınan toplam 75 koyunun kulak kan frotileri muayene edildi. Muayene edilen froti adedi 25x2x3x18=2700 dır. Vnitelerin bir tanesinde bir koyun Piroplasmosa yakalandı. Yapılan · frotilerin muayeı;ıesinde Piroplasma Ovis tesbit edildi. Hayvanın üzerinde bulunan kene Rhipicephalus bursa idi. Acaprin tedavisinden iyi sonuç alındı. Kene mücadelesinde Asuntol kullanıldı ve iyi sonuç alındı . .
