Özet

Osmanlı Devleti çok acele ile ve yeteri kadar hazırlık yapmadan Birinci Dünya Savaşı’na girmeye karar vermiştir. Osmanlı Devleti, Kafkas Cephesi (Rus Cephesi), Irak Cephesi, Çanakkale Cephesi ve Filistin-Suriye Cephesi olmak üzere dört cephede savaşmıştır. Çok geniş ve birden çok cephelere sahip olan bir devletin acele ile savaşa girmesi büyük bir risktir. Bu cephelerin en genişi, sınırları Adana Halep, Suriye, Beyrut, Hicaz vilâyetleri ile Lübnan, Kudüs, Zor Mutasarrıflığı ve Medine Muhafızlığı’nı kapsayan IV. Ordu cephesidir. Bu cephenin ordu komutanlığına 19 Kasım 1914 tarihinde Cemal Paşa tayin edilmiştir. Henüz Cemal Paşa göreve başlamadan önce İngilizler Kasım 1914 tarihinde IV Ordu sınırları içinde bulunan Akabe Körfezi’ni bombalamaya başlamış ve 3 Kasım 1914’de Akabe Körfezi İngilizlerin eline geçmiştir. Birinci Dünya Savaşı sonunda IV. Ordu cephesi çökmüş ve Osmanlı Devleti mağlup olmuştur. Bu cephe sınırları içinde XIX. yüzyılın ilk çeyreğinden itibaren Avrupa’nın büyük güçleri Osmanlı Devleti’ne karşı siyasi, askeri, kültürel, ticari ve ekonomik çalışmalarına başlamışlar ve büyük mesafe almışlardı. Makalede İngiltere, Fransa, Amerika, Rusya ve Yahudilerin hilafet, milliyetçilik, batıcılık, Arapçılık, bedevilik vb.gibi Osmanlı’ya karşı kullandıkları taktiklerini ve bunları nasıl planladıklarını görmekteyiz. Çok geniş bir alanı kaplayan IV. Ordu Komutanlığı üç başlık altında araştırılmış ve her bir başlık Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nın başlamasına kadar incelenmiş ve savaş yılları ele alınmamıştır.

Abstract

The Ottoman Empire decided to enter the First World War in a very hurry and without enough preparation. The Ottoman Empire fought on four fronts: The Caucasian Front (Russian Front), the Iraqi Front, the Dardanelles Front and the Palestinian-Syrian Front. It is a great risk that a state that has very large and multiple fronts to enter into war with rush. The largest of these fronts, including the borders of Adana, Aleppo, Syria, Beirut, Hecaj provinces, Lebanon, Jerusalem, Zor Mutasarrıfs and Medina Guard is the Fourth Army Front. Cemal Pasha was appointed to the army command of this front on 19 November 1914.Before Cemal Pasha started working,The British started to bomb the Gulf of Aqaba on November 1,1914 within the boundaries of the Fourth Army and on November 3, 1914, the Gulf of Aqaba was captured by the British. The Fourth Army front collapsed at the end of the First World War and the Ottoman Empire was defeated. Within the boundaries of this front, from the first quarter of the nineteenth century The great powers of European began to work against the Ottoman Empire with studies political, military, cultural, commercial and economic and they had taken great distance. In the article, we see the tactics they used against the Ottomans and how they planned the Caliphate, Nationalism, Westernism, Arabism, Bedouin etc. of England, France, America, Russia and Jews and The Fourth Army Command, covering a very large area was researched under three titles and each title was examined until the outbreak of the First World War and the years of war were not addressed.
