A bovine abortion caused by Campylobacter fetus subsp. veneralis

Abstract
Ab aborted bovine fetus, approximately 5 months in gestation was investigated for bacterial agents. This was the third abortion during a three-weeks period in a small barn of 8 pregnant cows. Some cows in the barn had a history on infertility . C.fetus subsp. venerealis was isolated from liver and stomach contents of aborted fetus . The identification of organism was confirmed by agglutination test using standard antiserum.
Özet
Yaklaşık 5 aylık bir sığır fetusu bakteriyel etkenler yönünden incelendi. Bu 8 gebe ineğin bulunduğu bir ahırda 3 haftada içindeki üçüncü abortus olgusu idi. İneklerin bazılarında infertilite belirtileri bildirildi. Atık fetusun mide içeriği ve karaciğerlerinden C.fetus subps. venerealis izole edildi. Bu identifikasyon aglütinasyon testi ile de doğrulandı..
