Education of Communication in Turkey: The Attitudes. of the Reporters Working in the National Media in Ankara and the Suggestions Resulted from the Research

Abstract
in this artic/e, the ideas of the reporters working in the national media in Ankara towards education of communication, in the major of journalism, are aimed to be introduced. Aiming at this, the data were collected from the reporters working in the national media in Ankara. For the study, a research group of 120 reporters was formed. The study revealed that the reporters found education of communication insufficient and they thought the technica/ and cultural education should be given in equal proportions and communication theories and political sciences should be taught intensively The median of the question related to the importance of foreign language in the education of communication proved to be the highest. According to this, reporters accept that knowing a foreign language is important.
Özet
Bu makalede, Ankara'da ulusal medyada görev yapan haber muhabirlerinin gazetecilik eğitimi özelinde iletişim eğitimi ile ilgili düşünceleri ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Ankara'da ulusal medyada çalışan muhabirlerden veri toplanmıştır. Araştırma için 120 muhabirlik bir çalışma kümesi oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma, muhabirlerin iletişim eğitimini yeterli bulmadığını; teknik ve kültürel eğitimin eşit oranda verilmesi ve iletişim kuramları ve siyaset derslerinin yoğun okutulması gerektiğini düşündük/erini ortaya çıkarmıştır. iletişim eğitiminde yabancı dilin önemine yönelik sorunun ortancası ise en yüksek çıkmıştır. Buna göre· muhabirler, yabancı dil bilmenin önemli olduğunu kabul etmektedirler.
