Abstract
II. Mehmet’s relation with philosophy (wisdom) besides other sciences, has a significant importance. How can the reason of Fâtih Sultan Mehmet’s devotion to philosophy, who we thinkhas an enormously extraordinary character, be explained? Is it only a gift of his critical intelligence ? Or are the circumstances that he came across in his life adventure also effective? We are going to try to find the answers of these questions.

II. Mehmet’in, diğer bilimler yanında felsefe (hikmet) ile olan ilişkisi, kayda değer bir önem arz etmektedir. Son derece sıra dışı bir karaktere sahip olduğunu düşündüğümüz Fâtih Sultan Mehmet’in felsefeye olan düşkünlüğünün sebebi nasıl açıklanabilir? Bu yalnızca onun eleştirel zekâsının bir hediyesi midir? Yoksa yaşam serüveninde karşılaştığı haller de etkili olmuş mudur? Çalışmamızda bu soruların cevaplarını bulmaya çalışacağız
