Abstract
In this study, the relative efficiency of various antibiotics that were dissolved in % 90 Dimethyl Sulfoxid (DMSO) for intramammary infusion on lactating cows with subclinical mastitis was investigated. A total of 69 different breeds milking cows in a state farm were subjected to routine test, using California mastitis test (CMT) method. 37 quarters were found infected with subclinical mastitis. lndividual quarter milk samples were collected from infected quarters for bacteriological examination. Pathogenic bacterias were isolated from milk samples. To determine sensitivity the isolated strains of these pathogenic bacterias were tested by using several antibiotics this diffusion method. Each cow treated twice with 48h interval. Criteria for therapy was freedem from pathogenic bacteria as shown by once taken milk samples, on ten days following last treatment. According to the results obtained that the milk avarage cure rate of Staphylococcus spp. infection was % 76.9 and of Streptococcus spp. infection was% 81.08. These results show that the use of DMSO as penetrant carrier of antibiotics in treatment of subclinical mastitis may increase the effectiveness of therapy and may prevent the spread of mastitis and may be economic than the other treatment methods.
Özet
Bu çalışmada, laktasyondaki subklinik mastilisli ineklere meme içi % 90 DMSO'da çözülen antibiyotik uygulamalarının etkinliği araştırıldı. Değişik ırklardan 69 adet ineğe CMT uygulandı. Bunlardan 37 meme lobu enfekte bulundu.
