Abstract
The inactivants which are being used for the inactivation of foot and mouth disease (FMD) vaccine viruses are formaldehyde (FA) and binary ethyleneimine (BEl). The effects of these inactivants to the duration of immunity induced by FMD vaccines have been comparatively studies. For that purpose totaly 38 calves of 8-12 months of age have been employed. The immunity levels have been determined by the neutralisation index (N .I.) values. As a result it has been concluded that there was no dilference between the effects of these inactivants to the duration of immunity.
