The prevelance of blood parasites in cattle in vicinity of Samsun

Abstract
In this investigation which w as made on blood parasites of cattle in Samsun and its surroundings, for the detection of blood protozoa, the blood smear were prepared from 184 cattle ofwhich the diseases were clinically suspected. Totally, 149 cases w ere determined of these 184 elinical infections, T.annulata in 17.44%, B.bovis in 29.53%, B.bigemina in 32.21%, B.bigemina mixed with B.bovis, B.bigemina and A.marginale in 7.38% were formed.
Özet
Bu çalışmada , Samsun ve yöresinde babesiosis ve theileriosis'ten şüpheli klinik enfeksiyon geçiren sığırlardan hazırlanan, 184 periter kan frotisinin 149'u (%80.9) kan porotozoonları yönünden müspet bulundu. Frotilerin 44'ü (%29.53) B.bovis, 48'i (%32.21) B.bigemina, 26'sı (%17.44) T.annulata, 11 'i (%7.38) A.marginale ve 20'si (%13.42) miksolarak B.bigemina-A.marginale, B.bigeminaB. bovis olduğu saptandı.
