A Research on Helmint Fauna of Chub (Squalius cephalus L.) From Seyitler Dam Lake, Afyonkarahisar

Abstract
In this study, the presences of helmint fauna of 27 Squalius cephalus from Seyitler Dam Lake was investigated. In the end of the study, three parasite species were identified. Gyrodactylus sp., Nordmann, 1832 (Monogenea: Gyrodactylidae); Dactylogyrus naviculoides Ergens 1960 (Monogenea: Dactylogyridae); Tylodelphys sp. Diesing, 1850. (Digenea: Diplostomidae). From these parasites Gyrodactylus sp. was found on fins with 14,8% infection prevalence and mean parasite number 4.0±0.0 on fins, Dactylogyrus naviculoides was found (%63; 18.4±21.3) on gills and Tylodelphys sp. was found (%18.5; 5.6±8.2) in eye aqueous of the host fish.
Özet
Bu çalışmada, Seyitler Baraj Gölü (Afyonkarahisar)’nden temin edilen 27 Squalius cephalus L.’un helmint faunası araştırılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, konak balıkta üç parazit türü tanımlanmıştır: Gyrodactylus sp., Nordmann, 1832 (Monogenea: Gyrodactylidae); Dactylogyrus naviculoides Ergens 1960 (Monogenea: Dactylogyridae); Tylodelphys sp. Diesing, 1850. (Digenea: Diplostomidae). Bu parazitlerden Gyrodactylus sp. %14,8 enfeksiyon yüzdesi ve 4.0±0,0 ortalama parazit sayısı ile yüzgeçlerde, Dactylogyrus naviculoides (%63; 18,4±21,3) solungaçlarda ve Tylodelphys sp. (%18,5; 5,6±8,2) göz sıvısında tespit edilmiştir.
