Özet
İkinci Meşrutiyet Dönemi, imparatorluktan, ulus-devlete geçiş sürecinin yaşandığı bir dönemdir. Yaşanan siyasi gelişmeler ve milliyetçilik anlayışı neticesinde Türk kimliği öne çıkar, görünür hale getirilir. Bu gelişmeler edebiyata da yansır. İkinci Meşrutiyet dönemi yazarlarının çoğu Türk kimliği inşası merkezinde eserlerini yazar, millî değerleri öne çıkarır. Millî değerlere, modern yaşamın gerektirdiği unsurlar eşlik eder. Romanlarda yer alan mekânlar, bu zihniyet doğrultusunda şekillenir. Anadolu’ya yönelme, Türk mimarisinin öne çıkması, gayrimüslim azınlıkla özdeşleşen İstanbul’daki bazı mekânlara alınan menfi tavır romanlardaki mekânların genel özelliğidir. Bu çalışmada, İkinci Meşrutiyet Döneminde yazılan yirmi iki roman üzerinden kimlik inşasının mekânlardaki görünümü irdelenmiştir.
