Özet
Her insanın hayatında ismini hep hatırladığı öğretmen ya da öğretmenler vardır. Bir öğretmen bazı öğrenciler için idol olurken bazı öğrencilerin favori öğretmenleri arasında yer almayabilmektedir. Öğrencilerin tercih ettikleri öğretmen profillerinin belirlenmesi hem yeni kuşağın öğretmenlerden beklentilerini ortaya koyabilir hem de öğretmenlere önemli mesajlar sunabilir. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada öğrencilerin tercih ettikleri öğretmen profillerini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan öğretmen profili anketi kullanılmıştır. Anket beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Her bölümde A ve B olarak adlandırılan öğretmen tipleri betimlenmiştir. Ankette öğrencilerden hangi öğretmen tipini tercih ettikleri ve nedenleri sorulmuştur. Tercihlerini seçerek belirten öğrencilere nedenini de açık uçlu soruya yazarak cevap vermişlerdir. Öğrencilerin yazılı yanıtları içerik analiziyle değerlendirilmiştir. Öğrencilerin büyük çoğunluğu; dersi tahtadan anlatmayan, zaman zaman sınıf içinde dolaşan, öğrencilerle konuşurken göz temasında bulunan, ses tonlamasını etkili şekilde ayarlayan ve beden dilini iyi kullanan öğretmeni seçmişlerdir.
Abstract
There’re teacher in every person's life who remember their name. While a teacher is an idol for some students, it may not be among the favorite teachers of some students. Determining students' preferred teacher profiles can reveal both the expectations of the new generation from teachers and present important messages to teachers. Therefore, in this study, it is aimed to examine the preferred teacher profiles of the students.The research was designed in accordance with the screening pattern found in the quantitative research tradition. There are five sections in the teacher profile questionnaire prepared by the researchers. In sections, types of teachers named A and B are described. In the questionnaire, students were asked which type of teacher they prefer and why. The students answered their questions by choosing open-ended question. The vast majority of students; they chose teacher who didn’t tell the lesson from the board, who sometimes wandered through the classroom, made eye contact while talking to the students, effectively adjusted the tone of voice and used body language well.
