THE WITNESSES OF THE DAY OF THE JUDGMENT IN THE QURAN

Abstract

Allah is seer everything and knower. However, it is described in the Quran that many witnesses will be ready in the huge court which will be established in the Hereafter. This functioning of the court is expressed in similar to reasoning procedures that human knows in the world life so that the servant easily can comprehend circumstances of hereafter. Because, His mental capacity in the World does not have the ability to comprehend events that will occur in the hereafter. In this respect, events mentioned in the Quran are simplified by using symbols and metaphors so that human can comprehend them. In this article, we have studied the people who will bear witness in favor of or against and characteristics of these witnesses in the huge court. We have found that the people needs the witnesses of the day of the judgment not God, and these witnesses will provide the great benefits them in both the World and the hereafter. A servant who know that he will not be left in the life of the World; and angels seeing him and recording all his deeds at any moment; it will complain about the owner of the body’s organs entrusted by Allah and used in sinning against Allah certainly will refrain from committing sins. Furthermore, the people wronged and persecuted in the world will find peace with the presence of these witnesses and they will never lose their faith that the oppressors will give the account sooner or later.

Allah her şeyi gören ve bilendir. Bu nedenle kullarını hesaba çekmek için herhangi bir belgeye veya şâhide ihtiyacı olmadığı açıktır. Bununla birlikte Kur’ân’da âhirette kurulacak olan Mahkeme-i Kübrâ'da birçok şâhidin olacağı açıklanmıştır. Bu mahkemenin işleyişinin, insanın dünya hayatında bildiği ve alışık olduğu muhâkeme usullerine benzer ifade edilmesi kulun âhiret ahvâlini kolayca kavraması amacına mâtuftur. Çünkü insanın dünyadaki aklî kapasitesi âhirette meydana gelecek hâdiseleri kavrama yetisine sahip değildir. Bu açıdan Kur’ân’da söz konusu hâdiseler insanın anlayabileceği şekilde semboller ve benzetmeler kullanılarak ifade edilmiştir. Bu makalede mahkeme-i kübrâda kulun lehinde veya aleyhinde şahitlik edeceği bildirilen şahitlerin kimler/neler olduğunu ve bu şahitlerin özelliklerini inceledik. Hesap günü şahitlerine Allah’ın değil kulların ihtiyacı olduğunu, ayrıca bu şahitlerin hem dünyada hem de âhirette onlara büyük yararlar sağlayacağını tespit ettik. Dünya hayatında başıboş bırakılmadığını, her an kendisini görüp gözeten ve yaptığı tüm amelleri kayıt altına alan meleklerin olduğunu, Allah’ın emanet olarak verdiği ve O’na karşı günah işlemekte kullanılan vücut organlarının sahibinden şikâyetçi olacağını bilen bir kul, kesinlikle günah işlemekten çekinecektir. Ayrıca dünyada haksızlığa uğrayan ve eziyet görenler, bu şahitlerin varlığı ile huzur bulacaklar ve er geç zalimlerin hesap vereceklerine olan inançlarını hiç kaybetmeyeceklerdir.
