A Short Essay for the Concept of Aff irmation in Spinoza

Abstract

Spinoza’s concept of aff irmation is famous. His philosophy bases on the aff irmation not the negation. Th ere are several reasons for that: Being infinity of substance and does not involve the void, being One and the negation only in abstract level. However, what concern us at this point is that his thoughts about the aff irmation are strongly connected to ontology of the substance. Spinoza thinks that the aff irmation is the confirmation of the substance. In other words, it is the expression of the substance.
