EXAMINING THE CURSIVE WRITING TEACHING SKILLS OF FIRST GRADE STUDENTS IN RESPECT OF SEVERAL VARIABLES

Abstract
The observations of nursery school students and first graders at the primary education and the evaluation of cursive writing studies in the aspect of variable variants (sitting, paper holding, pen holding, writing way, binding, writing rate, spelling and readability) during the first reading, writing processes, based on teacher’s opinions, were carried out in this study.The experimental group consists of 60 students who attended the preparatory cursive writing classes Nursery School of Hacı Mustafa Tarman Primary School. The control group, on the other hand, went on the first grade of the same school and 60 students who did not attend the preparatory cursive writing classes and went on the first grade of the same school. In order to collect data, “Rubric of Cursive Writing Skill” was developed. t-Test was used for quantitative data.
Özet
Bu araştırmada, ilkokuma yazma sürecinde bitişik eğik yazı öğretimi; oturma, kâğıt tutma, kalem tutma, yazı yönü, bağlantı, hız, imla kurallarına uygunluk ve okunaklılık değişkenleri dikkate alınarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmadaki çalışma grupları deney ve kontrol grubundan oluşmaktadır. Deney grubunu, Ankara ili Keçiören ilçesi HMTİO ana sınıflarında bitişik eğik yazıya hazırlık eğitimi alıp aynı okulun birinci sınıfına devam eden öğrenciler (60 öğrenci) oluşturmaktadır. Kontrol grubunu ise ana sınıfında yazıya hazırlık eğitimi almayıp aynı okulun birinci sınıfa devam eden öğrenciler (60 öğrenci) oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verilerinin toplanması için “Bitişik Eğik Yazı Becerisi Dereceli Puanlama Anahtarı” geliştirilmiştir. Nicel verilerin analizi için t-testi kullanılmıştır.
