Modernleşme ve sosyal sermaya

Abstract

\r\n In this study, it is argued that modernization theory has an integrated vision of social development based on optimistic assumptions of the Enlightenment philosophy. Having presented some difficulties this vision has encountered in historical process, some issues that need to be taken into account by developing countries in their modernization programs are analyzed by using S. P. Huntington and R. D. Putnam’s ideas on modernization. \r\n

\r\n Bu çalışmada modernleşme teorisinin Aydınlanma felsefesinin toplumsal gelişmeye dair iyimser varsayımlarından hareketle topyekûn bir toplumsal ilerleme vizyonuna sahip olduğu ileri sürülmekte ve tarihi süreç içerisinde bu vizyonun karşılaştığı problemler ortaya konulduktan sonra günümüzde gelişmekte olan toplumların modernleşme programlarında dikkate almaları gereken bazı noktalar S. P. Huntington ve R. D. Putnam’ın modernleşme ile ilgili görüşlerinden hareketle gösterilmektedir. \r\n
