Abstract

One of the religious resources of Islamic-Turkish literature is the books of knowledge of the prophetic biography seerah. In those seerah texts the life events of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) from his birth to his death are mentioned. Later on, these events were divided into four main sections such as the birth of the Prophet (Mawlid), the miracle of ascension (Miracname), wars of the Prophet (War Chronicles) and his miracles (Mucizename). In the course of time, these literary genres were separated from the seerah and were written by the poets. The Hegira, which is the journey of the Prophet (pbuh) together with his fellow traveller Abu Bakr from Mecca to Madinah, takes its place within the seerah, which was later on considered as a separate genre of literature and independent poems were written about it in the name of hicretname. The subject of Hegira especially found its place in Divan poetry inside the seerahs, whereas hicretnames were written as a separate literary genre other than seerah, within the course of time from Tanzimat (the time when fundamental political reforms were made in the Ottoman Empire in 1839) to our day. In this study, we will touch upon the place and importance of hegira and hegira poems in the Islamic-Turkish literature and concepts related to hegira in those poems; such as names (the Prophet (PBUH), Abu Bakr (Companion in the Cave), Ali, Abdullah son of Abû Bakr, Esmâ daughter of Abu Bakr, Abdullah son of Uraykıt, Âmir son of Fuhayrah, Abû Jahl, Suraka son of Malik, Umayyah son of Halef), places (Mecca, Madinah, Darun Nedve (House of Nedve), Cave of Savr and Kuba) and animals (spider, dove, snake and scorpion) mentioned in the hegira and other concepts (Muhacir (emigrant muslims from Mecca to Madinah) Ensar (muslim residents of Madinah who hosted the Muhacirs), the miracle of milk, excerpts from verses of Holy Koran and "moon rose upon us"). We will also try to identify the poets' approach to hegira and their feelings and thoughts concerning the issue.

Özet

İslâmî Türk edebiyatının dinî kaynaklarından biri Hz. Peygamber'in hayatını ihtiva eden siyerlerdir. Hz. Peygamber'in doğumundan vefatına kadar olan olayların yer aldığı siyer metinlerinde Hz. Peygamber'in doğumu (mevlid), miraç mucizesi (mi?râciye), savaşları (gazavât-nâme), mucizeleri (mu?cize-nâmeler) vs. yer alırken bunlar zamanla siyerden ayrı birer edebî tür olarak da şairler tarafından yazılmışlardır. Siyerin içerisinde yer alan, Hz. Peygamber'in yol arkadaşı Hz. Peygamber, Hz. Ebû Bekir/Yâr-ı Gâr, Hz. Ali, Abdullah bin Ebû Bekir, Esmâ bint Ebû Bekir, Abdullah bin Uraykıt, Âmir bin Füheyre, Ebû Cehil, Sürâka bin Mâlik, Ümeyye bin Halef), hicrette ismi geçen mekânlar (Mekke, Medine, Dârünnedve, Sevr Mağarası ve Kubâ), hicrette ismi geçen hayvanlar (örümcek, güvercin, yılan, akrep gibi hayvanlar) ve diğer kavramlar (Muhacir, Ensar, süt mucizesi, âyet iktibasları ve "ay doğdu üzerimize") üzerinde durularak, şairlerin hicrete bakışları, bu konuyla ilgili duygu ve düşünceleri tespit edilmeye çalışılacaktır.
