Abstract

\r\n In this study, it is aimed to determine the efficiency of the study, basing on 5E model which is applied in the subjects of electrics on the success of the students at the department of elementary science teaching. In order to do so, a test composed of 28 questions is prepared as a tool for collecting data. The sample of the study comprised of 42 students studying their first year at the department of elementary science teaching in Kazım Karabekir faculty of education in Atatürk University within the academic year 2007-2008. The analysis of the data gained proves that the experimental group of students who are exposed to 5E learning model are more successfull than the students in the control group who received traditional learning methods.

\r\n Bu çalışmada, fen bilgisi öğretmenliği öğrencilerinin 5E modeli esas alınarak elektrik konularında uygulanan çalışmanın öğrencilerin öğrenmesindeki etkililiğinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek üzere veri toplama aracı olarak 28 sorudan oluşan bir test geliştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın örneklemini 2007–2008 eğitim-öğretim yılında Atatürk Üniversitesi, Kazım Karabekir Eğitim Fakültesi, Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği Bölümünün birinci sınıfında öğrenim gören toplam 42 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Elde edilen verilerin analizi, 5E modelinin uygulandığı deney grubu öğrencilerinin, geleneksel öğrenme yöntemlerinin uygulandığı kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre daha başarılı olduğu sonucunu ortaya koymaktadır.
