Abstract
\r\n The story of Çaştanı Bey, which is one of the stories included in Daśakarmapathaavadānamālā, is written during the Old Uighur Turkish. Çaştanı Bey is the most well coordinated story in the Avadana type stories. The first study on the documents belong to this story is done on Uigurica IV. \r\n Çaştanı Bey Hikâyesi, Eski Uygur Türkçesi döneminde yazılmış olan Daśakarmapathaavadānamālā isimli eserin içerinde yer alan hikâyelerden biridir. Avadana olarak bilinen bu tür hikâyeler içerisinde Çaştanı Bey Hikâyesi en derli toplu olan hikâyelerdendir. Bu hikâyeye ait belgeler üzerine ilk çalışma Uigurica IV’te yapılmıştır. Daha sonraki çalışmalar da daha çok burada ele alınan Eski Uygurca belgelere dayanmaktadır. Eski Uygurcaya ait belgelerin tasnifi neticesinde bu hikâyeye ait yeni belgeler tespit edilmiştir. Yapmış olduğumuz bu çalışma, son dönemde tespit edilen ve bu hikâyeye ait olan yeni belgelere dayanmaktadır.
