The Emergence, Development, and Purposes of the Rhetorical Concept of Ignoring the Knower

Abstract

In this study, the author selected a well-known rhetorical term, "Ignoring the Knower," and examined more than thirty books on the general arts of rhetoric, focusing on the art of Badi‘. After a thorough reading, the author identified and analyzed its most prominent variants through a critical and reasoned approach. The study explored the reasons behind the term's fame and addressed the objections raised around it. The author then presented the various definitions of the term, extracted its key nuances and purposes, supported by relevant examples, and concluded the study with the most significant findings.

Bu makalede yazar, edebî-belagî bir terim olan "Tecahülü Ârifi" inceleme konusu olarak seçmiş; belâgatın genel kaynaklarıyla birlikte özellikle bedîʻ sanatına dair otuzdan fazla eseri dikkatle taramıştır. Yapılan titiz okumalardan sonra, söz konusu terimin öne çıkan adlarını tespit etmiş ve bunları gerekçeli, eleştirel bir yaklaşımla değerlendirmiştir. Terimin yaygınlık kazanmasının nedenlerini ve etrafında ortaya atılan itirazları ele almış; ardından, bu terime dair farklı tanımları derlemiş, önemli nükte ve amaçlarını örnekleriyle birlikte ortaya koyarak açıklamıştır. Çalışma, ulaşılan en önemli sonuçların bir özetiyle sona ermektedir.
