The Difference in the Declension of Nouns in the Readings of Ubaid bin Umair and Ibn Kathir

Abstract

The science of Quranic readings is considered one of the important sources of the Arabic language, for grammarians and linguists, and it has a great impact on deriving meanings, and great importance in highlighting an aspect of the miracle of the Book of God Almighty, and therefore this research came to shed light on the difference in the movement of the inflected nouns in the readings of Ubaid bin Umair and Ibn Kathir, with the transfer of the statements of grammarians and interpreters about these nouns, and the details of the statement in each issue, in an objective applied study. The importance of this research is highlighted in that it sheds light on the efforts of grammarians and Arabic scholars and their service to the Holy Quran, and transfers and discusses their opinions, and on the other hand, it delves into the depths of the books of interpretation, and extracts from them the scientific material, and the great meanings that0 the interpreters derived from the verses in which the readers differed in their reading, as it compares between two readings that were in a close time and in the same environment, but one of them is from the anomalous readings and the other from the transmitted readings. The research aims to identify the inflected nouns whose readings differed in these two readings, and to identify the extent to which the deviant reading of Ubaid bin Umair agrees with the rules of the Arabic language, and to know its status among linguists and interpreters. In this research, we followed the descriptive analytical approach, and we also studied the grammatical opinions when analyzing the readings.

Kıraat ilmi, dil bilimciler ve dil âlimleri nezdinde Arap dili için önemli kaynaklardan biri olarak kabul edilir. Ayrıca bu ilim, anlamların çıkarılmasında önemli bir rol oynar ve Allah'ın kitabının mucizelerinin bir yönünü ortaya koymada büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Bu nedenle, araştırma, Ubeyd b. Umeyr ve İbn Kesîr'in kıraatlerinde isimlerin harekelerindeki farklılıklara ışık tutmayı amaçlamaktadır. Nahivciler ve müfessirlerin bu isimler hakkındaki görüşlerini aktararak, her meseleyi ayrıntılı bir şekilde ele alan uygulamalı bir çalışma olarak hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmanın önemi, dil ve nahiv âlimlerinin Kur'an'a hizmetlerini ve onların görüşlerini yansıtarak tartışmaları ışığında belirginleşmektedir. Aynı zamanda tefsir kitaplarının derinliklerine inerek, kıraat farklılıklarından kaynaklanan ayetlerden çıkarılan bilimsel materyalleri ve ince anlamları ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Araştırma, benzer dönemlerde ve aynı ortamda bulunan ancak biri şâz, diğeri ise mütevatir olan iki kıraati karşılaştırmaktadır. Araştırmanın amacı, bu iki kıraatte i‘râbı farklı olan isimleri belirlemek, Ubeyd b Umeyr’in şâz kıraatinin Arapça dil kurallarına uygunluğunu ve dil ile tefsir âlimleri nezdindeki yerini öğrenmektir. Bu araştırmada betimleyici analitik yöntem kullanılmış olup, kıraatlerin analizinde nahivsel görüşler incelenmiştir.
